A website about me and my work
misterq.net is my personal website and the central place for everything I do online.
I built it to serve several purposes at once: an introduction to who I am, a portfolio of my work and experience, a place to showcase projects, a home for things I write, and a way for people to get in touch with me.
Rather than keeping those things separated across different platforms, I wanted one website that could bring them together in a way that feels consistent and actually reflects how I work.
More than just a portfolio
The website is designed around the idea that a portfolio should give some context, not just display a collection of finished pieces.
It brings together my background, professional and independent experiences, services, projects, and writing, with each part serving a different purpose. The project pages give individual things I've built their own space, while the experience section provides more context about the work and roles behind them.
The site is also intended to evolve with me. As I take on new work, build new projects, or write about things I'm learning, the website gives those things somewhere to live without having to rebuild the whole structure around them.
misterq.net is itself an ongoing project.
I've treated the website as something to develop rather than a one-time portfolio exercise. Its structure, content, and presentation continue to change as my work changes and as I find better ways to organise and present it.
That also means the website reflects some of the things I care about when building other projects: clear structure, useful information, visual consistency, and making something that is practical enough to keep using.
There will probably never be a point where I consider the website completely finished. There is always another page to improve, another project to document, or another idea to try.
