Making Ideas Visual
I work on branding and graphic design for businesses, projects, communities, events, and other things that need a clear visual identity.
Sometimes that means developing a brand from the beginning. Other times, it means designing a logo, campaign graphic, event visual, or other piece of communication within an identity that already exists.
I care about making the visual work feel appropriate to the project rather than forcing everything into the same design style.

Brand Identity
When a project needs a visual identity, I can help establish the basic system behind it.
This can include logo design, typography, colour, graphic elements, layout principles, and other visual decisions that give a brand some consistency.
I usually think about where the identity will actually be used before deciding what it should look like. A logo that works on a presentation but falls apart everywhere else isn't particularly useful.

Graphic Design
Not every project needs a complete rebrand.
I also work on individual graphics and visual materials such as social media graphics, key visuals, promotional materials, event assets, presentations, and other digital content.
Where an existing identity is involved, I can work within its visual language rather than redesigning everything unnecessarily.
Keeping Things Consistent
As a project grows, it can become surprisingly easy for its visuals to become inconsistent.
I can help organise the different pieces into a more coherent system, whether that's through a set of brand guidelines, reusable assets, or simply establishing some clearer design rules.
The amount of structure depends on the project. A small community project probably doesn't need a fifty-page brand book.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you design logos?
Yes. Logo design can be a standalone project or part of a wider brand identity.
